Sri Raaja Raajan college of Engineering and Technology, Amaravathiputhur organized 4th Jeikkalam vaanga 14 a guidance programme for plus two students on 18.01.2014 at Green palce, Pudukkottai. Mr. Thangam moorthy, member of syndicate, bharathidasan university was the chief guest. Pointing out that those who are preparing for +2 examination should not be self- conscious and avoid temptations, Thangam moorthy said, “One should inculcate the habit of extensive reading on all subjects. He added that instead of reading about subject that one enjoys, reading what he/she is not too keep about will help them to go a long way. Dr.k. meena in her chief guest address listed key points like look at past papers, time management make rough notes at the start of a question, above all understand your strength and weakness, convert your weakness as strength so as to get success in the examinations. Ms. Kirtanya , Chief Trainer mindfresh skillfully explained ways to handle emotions, relationships, skills, attitudes, habits and ways to excel in the students inner and outer worlds by her inspirational speech. She narrated a few moral stories to drive her point home. Mr. K. Sekar, Principal, Chidambaram Pillai College for Women, Trichy in his address stated that neither poverty nor personality would deter an achiever from reaching their aims. The subject experts, Mr. Kaman, Govt. Higher Sec. School, Thiruvelankudi for Mathematics, Dr. P. Natarajan, Sr. Lecturer, DIET, Pudukkottai for Physics, Mr. Henry Basker, SMSV Hr. Sec. School, Karaikudi for Chemistry and Mr. N. Thirumeninathan, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Vayalogam for Biology, taught the students the tricks of the trade for scoring high marks in public examinations. The huge congregation of 1600 students from various schools of Pudukkottai District participated in the guidance programme. The programme oriented the +2 students facing public examinations for getting high marks in their examinations.
