College Profile:
Technical and non-technical education to the students in the rural as well as urban areas of Maharashtra . In its endeavour to achieve the goal, the Trust started number of High Schools, Junior Colleges, Degree Colleges in various disciplines of Arts, Science, Commerce Education. In 1992, feather in its cap was added when the Trust established College of Engineering at Navi Mumbai to meet the increasing demand of high quality technocrats. The institute was later renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, in the memory of great son of the land, Late Shri. Rajiv Gandhi. Hon. Shri. Amitji Deshmukh took over as Executive Trustee in the year 2000.The emergence of liberalization and globalization has enforced several responsibilities on engineers and managers of Indian industries to manufacture their goods with international quality at competitive prices. India , becoming the leader in I.T. sector, should concentrate on quality of the software products to go further and retain its status. This resulted into a great demand for managers and technocrats in all fields and all sectors. Under the dynamic leadership of Hon. Shri. Amit Deshmukh, new courses B.E. (Information Technology) in the year 2003 and MMS & MCA in the year 2006 were introduced.
