Pasumpon Nethaji Polytechnic College was started in 1983 in Melaneelithanallur 14 kms south of sankarankovil in tirunelveli district under the auspicus of Appavoo Regunatha Thevar Peratchi Charitable trust. The founders are Late Thiru A.R.Ponnaiah M.A.,B.L.,Ph.D., and Tmt Kamala Ponnaiah. This polytechnic has been approved by Govt.of Tamilnadu and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and we are an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution. The infrastructural facilities have been provided at optimum level for effective instruction.Thiru A.R.P.Elangkumaran D.M.E. DC TECH (P.G.) was Chairman and Correspondent of Pasumpon Nethaji Polytechnic college upto 2007. After his death in 2007  Tmt. E. Saraladevi Elangkumaran has taken charge as Correspondent and Secretary and our son Mr. E. Sathiskumar take part in the function of our Polytechnic College. Pasumpon Nethaji Polytechnic College is one of the most prestigious Institutions in Sankarankovil. It is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery with pleasant and quiet atmosphere, easily accessible through frequent town buses. The campus area spreads to about 25.8 acres and the total build up area of buildings is 1, 20, 500sq.m.
